• Effective January 1, 2013, the Employee Assistance Program will be offered by the Medical Trust as a stand-alone benefit for all eligible employees that are currently obtaining medical benefits from another source (e.g. spouse, other employer). The cost will only be $5 per month or a total of $60 per year per employee. It covers not only the employee but all their dependents as well. The Employee Assistance Program is included with all active medical plan enrollments or can be purchased for $5 per month for any full time active employee not currently covered by a medical plan through the Medical Trust.
The Employee Assistance Program, managed by CIGNA Behavioral Health, covers an array of services and assists our members and their covered dependents with information, educational materials, resources, referrals, and ongoing support. EAP services are free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through the CBH web site or by phone. The plan covers unlimited telephonic consultations and up to 10 face-to-face counseling sessions per issue with no copay. CIGNA's EAP licensed clinicians can assist with problems including coping with stress, elder care, legal, financial, substance abuse, and emotional and physical health. EAP services also include immediate help during a crisis, local resources in your community on a wide range of topics, and tips and guidance to help balance work with family life. |
