We welcome you to the Diocese of Long Island's web site as our diocese comes fully into the 21st century through this medium. Ours is a large and complicated diocese. It is made up of more than 150 loving, welcoming congregations and thousands of faithful Episcopal Christians from Brooklyn to Montauk.

A diocese is only as strong as its various congregations and clergy working together to build up the Church and expand the Kingdom of God. We are working diligently to have every congregation, and all clergy, be a part of that team effort.

May God bless as you "surf" this web-site and may Holy Spirit urge you into further exploration if you are seeking a new church home, have moved to our area recently, or simply want to know more about the Episcopal Church and the Diocese of Long Island.

In many ways the Church is like a box of crayons. We can learn a lot from crayons:
Some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors ~ but they all have learned to live in the same box. May God guide and bless us as we learn and strive to live and worship and pray together for God's work in this part of the vineyard.
