Bishop Walker's Response to Primates' Meeting

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Although the recently concluded meeting of the Anglican Communion's Primates has attracted much attention in the media, definitive statements on the subject are not yet possible. These will have to await careful study of the relevant documents, as well as serious conversations with various leaders of our national church. At this time, however, let me state that I am not prepared to accede to any diminution of the principles and polity of the Episcopal Church, nor any regression from the commitment to all of its baptized as being full members in the Body of Christ.
