Our choir program is central to the life of the Cathedral, and is the principal focus of our music energies. Each week during the choir season our various choirs provide magnificent choral music at the weekly Sunday 9:30 and 11:15 am sung Eucharists.
The Sunday 9:30 Family Eucharist is normally sung by the Cathedral Girls' Choir and joined regularly by the Schola Cantorum to sing choral repertoire for this particular genre.
The 11:15 Choral Eucharist, (Choral Matins on the fourth Sunday) normally sung by the Cathedral Choir of Men & Boys, features a choral setting of the Mass, in addition to other choral music..
Cathedral Choirs Development Fund
CCDF is a non-profit association, separate from the Cathedral of the Incarnation, dedicated to supporting the work of the Choirs of the Cathedral. Funds are under the control of a Board of Directors comprised of representatives of the choir parents and the Cathedral congregation. The Fund is dedicated to ensuring the continued excellence of the Cathedral Choirs by supporting their regular operating budgets. The Fund is also committed to making possible national and international tours for the Choirs. Donations to the CCDF are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
The Cathedral Choirs Development Fund plans a wide variety of fund-raising activities for the coming season, including a Christmas Flower Sale, a Mardi Gras Dinner with live Jazz, a Restaurant Gift Certificate Raffle, and the annual Festival of Flowers. We encourage you to support our fundraising efforts on behalf of our Choirs. Please call (516) 746-2955 for more information on these events.
Friends of Music in the Cathedral
The Cathedral's music budget is unable to completely fund our musical offerings. Without the generosity of our supporters who provide us with needed additional funding for our music series, we would be unable to offer the rich and varied program that has been a part of the Cathedral of the Incarnation for many years.
We invite you to become a Friend of Music. You may give at any amount listed below. Your gift will help us continue offering quality music to Long Island in the wonderful architectural setting of the Cathedral, and will help pay for musicians fees, advertising, brochures and administrative costs. Checks should be made out to Music in the Cathedral, and all gifts are tax deductible.
