Bp. Provenzano attends Canon Jobson memorial at Grace, Massapequa

By Ken Cynar

Bishop Provenzano made his first visit to Grace Church in Massapequa  to participate in the recent Memorial Service for the Rev. Canon John X. Jobson, retired Rector of Grace Church who passed away in October.

Music, prayers and words of praise filled Grace Church on the chilly winter morning as colleagues, friends and parishioners from throughout the diocese joined together to remember Canon Jobson who served Grace Church for more than 20 years.

Most touching were the words of the Rev. Robert Picken who grew up attending Grace Church during Fr. Jobson's tenure.  Bishop Provenzano joined in praising Fr. Jobson as a "true man of God."
