Sunday, December 17th at 4:00 PM:

A Festival of Lessons and Carols for Christmas

This Service, one of the highlights of Season, will feature the Cathedral Choir of Men & Boys, the Cathedral Girls’ Choir and the Schola Cantorum. Music sung will include Carol settings by David Willcocks, Boris Ord, Robert Pearsall, Franz Biebel, Josef Rheinberger, John Joubert, Andrew Carter, John Rutter and Conrad Susa.

 

Sunday, December 24th  - Christmas Eve

8:00 pm -Christmas Prelude Music – Cathedral Girls’ Choir, Schola Cantorum, and Gentlemen of the Choir. Carol settings by David Willcocks, Harold Darke, Andrew Carter, Alan Smith and Stephen Cleobury

8:30 pm - Festive Choral Eucharist, Rite II

Music includes Franz Schubert’s Mass in G, with carol settings by Conrad Susa and David Willcocks.
Archdeacon Theodore Bean will be the celebrant.

  

10:30 pm - Christmas Prelude Music - The Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys. Carol settings by David Willcocks, Harold Darke, Andrew Carter, Otto Goldschmidt and Stephen Cleobury

11:00 pm -Solemn Choral Eucharist, Rite II

Music includes Franz Schubert’s Mass in G, with carol settings by Conrad Susa and David Willcocks.
Bishop Orris Walker will be the celebrant.

 

Monday, December 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM:
Choral Eucharist for Christmas Day, Rite I

Music sung by The Gentlemen of the Choir including the Mass for Three Voices of William Byrd and Medieval Carols.

Father Joseph Pae will be the celebrant.

 

Sunday, January 7th at 4:00 PM:

Choral Evensong for Epiphany

Join us for this special Evensong which closes our celebration of Christmas. Music for this Evensong will include the Magnificat & Nunc Dimittis in D by George Dyson, along with hymns and carols.

 

Sunday, March 4th at 4:00 PM:
Choral Evensong for Lent.

 

Sunday, March 18th at 4:00 PM:
The Cathedral Choirs in Concert

The combined Cathedral Choirs will present an afternoon of masterpieces of Sacred Music, including the Missa Brevis of Zoltan Kodaly.

Requested donation:

$15 general seating, $5 high school & college students, children under 13 admitted free.

Tickets will be available at the door.
