Bishop Provenzano was informed this afternoon of the death of Cynthia Smith, who was 80 years old, the mother of Kay Alleyne, and mother-in-law of the Very Rev. Eddie Alleyne.

The bishop asks the diocesan family please to keep Mrs. Alleyne and Fr. Alleyne, and their family in your prayers.

The funeral will be Saturday, February 20th, in Mrs. Smith's home parish in Barbados.

Rest eternal grant unto her O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the departed through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
