You and, if applicable, your spouse/partner, are invited to a pre-ordination Visitation by the Presiding Bishop and her husband on Friday, September 18, from 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Mercer School of Theology, Garden City.

Our Bishop-elect, Fr. Larry, expects and strongly encourages that all clergy attend this meeting with the Presiding Bishop (please adjust your calendar now to ensure your attendance).

Additionally, it is our hope that as many spouses/partners as possible come to meet with Richard Schori, participate in his lively presentation, enjoy the Eucharist and be our guests at the box lunch that follows. 

The morning’s activities will start at 9:00 a.m. in the Mercer facilities with a light breakfast. It will be followed from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with concurrent meetings (the clergy will meet with Bishop Katharine and all spouses/partners will meet with Richard).

A Holy Eucharist will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. The Presiding Bishop will preach and preside at this liturgy. (Please note, there is no need to vest for this service.)

Finally, the event will close with a box lunch to be served at Mercer. In order to plan both meetings and to provide enough box lunches for all, we need to know who is planning to attend and also stay for lunch.  Please email the name(s) of those attending and the number of vegetarian or nonvegetarian lunches.  Send the RSVP by September 8 to: consecration091909@gmail.com
