AIDS Walk New York will be held in Central Park in Manhattan this year on May 18th. ERA (Episcopal Response to Aids), the coalition team made up of Episcopalians throughout the metropolitan area, will be walking to raise funds for HIV/AIDS ministries in faith communities in the Dioceses of Long Island, Newark and New York.
In our own diocese, HIV ministries are happening at St. George’s in Brooklyn, St. David’s in Cambria Heights and ministries based out of St. James of Jerusalem in Long Beach. We’d like to foster these ministries and grow some more, as the highest incidences of HIV infections in our region are found within our diocesan borders.
Your parish must contribute only one walker or one penny to be credited both as a participating congregation and as part of this area-wide Episcopal/Anglican team, witnessing in unity to the depth of our Church's commitment to struggle against this pandemic.
The ERA website is www.erany.org.
If either you or your parish are unable to physically be present at the walk, you may contribute online to the ERA presence through ECS Long Island’s effort, by going to Episcopal Community Service’s AIDS Walk Page at

Be sure to list your parish on the contribution page.
