New Beginnings at St. Andrew's, Mastic Beach

Clean-up was the order of the day for the arrival of Father Charles Sullivan.

Mastic beach – Clean-up was the order of the day on September 2nd as parishioners gathered after services to “tidy up” St. Andrews for an important event in our church.

And on September 9th, fifty Mastic-Shirley parishioners of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and friends from other churches attended the New Beginnings Barbecue on Sunday.

They were there to share fellowship and kick off the new year at St. Andrew's and to welcome the new church priest, Father Charles M. Sullivan.

Church members brought covered dishes, specialty salads and hot dogs and hamburgers were enjoyed by young and old present. There was a dessert table including a welcome to St. Andrew's cake.

Good conversation and culinary enjoyment was shared.

Father Charles M. Sullivan is a retired priest who was rector of St. Thomas of Smithtown for 16 1/2 years. His wife is the Rev. B. Sullivan of St. Mary's  Episcopal church in Hampton Bays.
