Christ Church, Babylon, Work Project at Camp DeWolfe

Ten teens and six adult missionaries helped prepare for July 8 opening.

During the week of July 1-6, ten teenage and six adult missionaries from Christ Church in Babylon went to Camp DeWolfe to perform work, preparing the camp for its summer opening on July 8.  Under the direction of Youth Minister Caroline Marsden, the missionaries cleaned up flowerbeds and planted new plants, prepared a "learning" vegetable garden for the summer campers, trimmed trees and bushes, and refreshed the entrance to St. Luke's Chapel.

With cheerful hearts, these missionaries identified projects to be done, and worked tirelessly to prepare the camp for opening day.  The missionary program also provided time for devotional reflection and personal spiritual renewal.  The theme of the week was "Fruits of the Spirit."  Each one of those spirits were felt or displayed by the work the missionaries did and the relationships they developed with the camp staff who were in training during the week.
