An Indian Reservation is special visit by the youth of Christ Church in Babylon

The Mohawk Indian Reservation visit was an opportunity for a week of mission projects.

Youth group members of Christ Episcopal Church in Babylon recently returned from a week-long mission trip on the Mohawk Indian Reservation near Massena, New York.  During the week, the teens and their adult leaders worked with other youth from Delaware and Long Island performing home repair, working in "kid's club," and visiting the elderly in a nursing home.  Under the leadership of the parish Youth Minister, Caroline Marsden (lower, right), this was the second mission trip that Christ Church Babylon has sponsored in the past two years.  During the course of the coming school year, many of these youth will continue with their service ministry by doing work in local hospitals, churches, soup kitchens, nursing homes, and other areas needing community service.
