DIOCESAN & REGIONAL CONFIRMATIONS – 2007

I write to remind of the service of Diocesan Confirmation which is scheduled to take place at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, on Saturday, February 17, at 2 P.M. Please note the time change. The information contained in this letter will, I hope, assist in making these events run as smoothly as possible. I know that I may rely upon your cooperation.

Please telephone my office not later than Monday, February 5, and advise Deidra (ext. 32) of the number of people you plan to present. Please mail, email or fax a written list of the names of the people involved, indicating their dates of birth, as well as whether they are to be presented for Confirmation, Reception, or Reaffirmation. There will be a rehearsal promptly at 1:15 P.M. on February 17. Please be present at that time, together with your candidates and sponsors.

Candidates for confirmation must be at least 16 years of age at the time of confirmation, or have a 16th birthday within 30 days following the service.

Please bring with you your parish registers, but send your completed certificates for individuals being presented to Bishop Walker’s office well in advance of the occasion. The post-confirmation certificate should be filled out and signed after the confirmation has occurred to allow for cancellations. Please send it to the Bishop’s office no later than two weeks following confirmation.
